Near the Pré Balthazar where an episode of the Maigret stories got shot in the 90s, there is the old ford on the Ourthe river that links the Celtic fortress of Le Cheslé to the legendary site of Le Sasseux (Sacellum - sacred in Latin). After the Celtic period, the Romans are said to have enlarged the course of the river in order to make it more efficent
